Sunday, October 22 | Opening Ceremony at 6:30pm

Join us in room 34 on Sunday evening for the opening ceremony of World Sleep 2023.

  • Welcome greeting from World Sleep Society and Brazilian Sleep Association leadership
  • Award presentations
  • Samba dance company entertainment
  • Reception with drinks and light appetizers
The award-winning Escola de Samba Beija-flor (“Hummingbird School of Samba”) will be providing the entertainment for the opening ceremony.

Monday, October 23 | Gala Dinner at Mansão Carioca

Service starts at 7:30pm.

Ticket required. Ticket availability is now limited; check the registration website or with the registration desk for latest availability.

The gala dinner for World Sleep 2023 is taking place at Mansão Carioca, a villa in the Alto da Boa Vista neighborhood that sits among a green expanse of forest rising above Rio’s beaches.

Poster Hall Sessions: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Evenings

  • 5pm on Sunday
  • 6pm on Monday and Tuesday

Join us for three poster sessions on floor 0 (the lower level). Over 300 posters will be presented at each session, and refreshment will be available for purchase.

Wednesday | Closing Ceremony at 6:15pm

Take some time at the end of Wednesday to join us for the closing ceremony of World Sleep 2023 in room 34. Closing remarks will be made by World Sleep Society leadership along with announcement of the election results and a preview of our next destination in 2025: Singapore!

A reception will follow with drinks and light appetizers.

Because of its widely international audience, the World Sleep congress has become a popular hub for sleep societies, research groups, and other informal networks to host social gatherings.
